Introduction
These terms and conditions (“T&Cs”) govern your participation in the HURU PostNet Roadshow Giveaway Competition (“the Giveaway”) conducted by HURU. By entering the Giveaway, participants agree to abide by these T&Cs, and all participants are deemed to have accepted and understood these T&Cs by their participation.
Eligibility
2.1The Giveaway is open to PostNet Business Partners who are present at the PostNet Roadshow 2025.
2.2 Employees, directors, agents, and contractors of the Promoter and its associated companies, including immediate family members and household members, are not eligible to enter the Giveaway.
2.3 The Giveaway is void where prohibited by law.
2.4 Entrants are strictly prohibited from using false identities, multiple accounts, or any automated, deceptive, or fraudulent means to increase their chances of winning or to submit multiple entries.
2.4.1 HURU reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who, in its sole discretion, is found to have:
- Created or used more than one profile, email address, or identity to enter the competition multiple times
- Used fake or impersonated profiles to submit entries; or
- Otherwise manipulated or attempted to manipulate the competition process or outcome
2.4.2 Such conduct may also constitute fraud or misrepresentation in terms of South African law. In terms of the Fraud Act under common law principles, and as referenced in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act 12 of 2004, submitting false information or misrepresenting one’s identity to gain an unfair advantage may amount to a criminal offence. HURU reserves the right to pursue legal action or report such conduct to the appropriate authorities.
2.4.3 Any disqualification under this clause is at the sole discretion of HURU and is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
- Giveaway Period
The Giveaway will run though the duration of the PostNet Roadshow 2025. Spot Prize winners will be announced on the day of their Regional Roadshow and the Mega Prize winners will be announced the 1st of September 2025.
- Prize
4.1 The Spot Prize is a JBL Go 4 waterproof Bluetooth speaker per PostNet Regional Roadshow. The Mega Prize is a 2 person, 4 night MSC Cruise round trip from Durban to Pomene Mozambique excluding sundry costs. If the Mega winner is outside of the KZN region, the prize will include flights to Durban.
4.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods.
4.3 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of similar value if the original prize is unavailable.
4.4 The winner of the Mega Prize must possess a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity beyond the travel dates. Failure to possess a valid passport may result in forfeiture of the prize, and the promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
- Winner Selection and Notification
5.1 The winner(s) for the Spot Prize will be selected by random draw on the day of the PostNet Regional Roadshow. The Winner of the Mega Prize will be selected by random draw after the last day of the PostNet Roadshow.
5.2 The winner(s) will be notified via email communication and/or telephonic communication.
5.3 If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 48 hours of the initial notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and select an alternative winner.
- Claiming the Prize
6.1 The prize must be claimed within 48 hours, after which the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and award it to another participant.
6.2 The Promoter will arrange for the Spot Prize delivery onsite, the Mega Prize will be contacted via email and telephonic communication to arrange receipt of the prize.
- Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in any publicity related to the Giveaway, including the use of their name, likeness, and image in promotional materials for marketing purposes without further compensation or notification, unless prohibited by law. Participants may opt-out of such publicity by notifying the Promoter in writing.
- Data Protection and Privacy
8.1 The Promoter will collect, store, and process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
8.2 Personal data collected during the Giveaway will be used only for the purpose of administering the Giveaway and will not be shared with third parties without the participant’s consent, except as necessary to fulfil the prize.
- Disqualification
9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in breach of these T&Cs, including but not limited to:
- Providing false information.
- Engaging in fraudulent activity or tampering with the entry process.
- Failing to meet eligibility requirements.
- Limitation of Liability
10.1 The Promoter, its agents, and affiliates are not responsible for any technical or human error, including but not limited to errors related to entry submissions, the availability of the prize, or any damages related to the acceptance and use of the prize.
10.2 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages, losses, or expenses arising in connection with the Giveaway or the prize.
- General
11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the Giveaway and/or these T&Cs at any time, without prior notice, if circumstances arise that are beyond its control.
11.2 Any changes to the Giveaway or these T&Cs will be communicated through email communication.
11.3 The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Giveaway is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
11.4 The Giveaway and these T&Cs are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
